Where can I find the cheapest flights to Amsterdam and whens the best time to go without crowds?

Their interactive (and cool) map tool is a great way to access a wider selection of airlines, routes and fares, many never previously available online. They provides more flight choices to select from, so you can find the lowest prices and best schedules.

The quick answer: go in winter. That’s when flights are cheapest and crowds are thinnest. I was in A’dam on New Years Day and it was nearly deserted. You can sign up for sale alerts there, too. And, click “historical deals” on right side of that page–it shows this is cheapest it’s been since at least July. Clicking through on Oct. 30, for example, and return 1 week later, Farecompare finds a better fare with their consolidator partner Cheaptickets.com for $810 r/t total those dates.
Running these dates through turns up $782 r/t total with consolidator Vayama.com.
I also checked next-closest airports around these dates–because sometimes a much better price can turn up–but it doesn’t this time.

Assuming u r flying out of LAX on Dec 25, 2008 & departing AMS on Jan 05, 2009, the cheapest return fare would be $ 879.77 (Base Price $ 473 + Taxes&Fees $ 406.77).
