How do you endure long flights or bus/train trips?
FlightsSingularity of Good Fortune asked:
I loath long trips squashed into tiny airline seats. I have a 23 hour trip of four flights. How can I do it without going crazy or getting DVT? I don’t sleep well in aircraft.

Bring lots of things to do that will keep your mind busy. For example, a gameboy, a laptop, books/magazines to read, a portable DVD player, crossword puzzles, newspapers, tablet paper and pen to draw with, a cell phone, homework, postcards for writing letters, chewing gum, sewing projects, etc.

Just bring things to keep you occupied. I usually bring music, DVDs and a few books to read. If you want to try to sleep bring tylenol pm to help you fall asleep. Also to prevent DVT make sure you get up and walk around. On international flights they usually have areas where you can go and get something to drink, try standing there for awhile. It helps prevent DVT and also you pass time by striking up a conversation with someone.

I don’t endure them very well. Take some interesting reading material and some writing equipment. Write fictional stories about the people sitting sound you, but don’t let them know !
Brisbane to London or Paris is horrific. I believe it was around 26 or 27 hours.
