How can I extend a deadline on cancelled flights with Orbitz?

6 monts ago I cancelled two flights with Orbitz. As a result, I had to pay a $200.00 fee for each of the tickets. I get to keep the tickes, but I have a deadline to use them, they expire this october. I was wandering if anyone knew how to extend the deadline, so I don’t lose the money. Can someone help me?

   It is more than likely not Orbitz you need to ask for an extension, but the airline. You could try rebooking the flights and then cancelling them again. Of course, you’d have to pay the penalty again, but depending on how much the value of the tickets are, it may be worth it. You’d then have another year from the date of issue.
