I am moving from the UK to Thailand and intend to return on a yearly basis. I have looked into carbon offsetting on the internet but have just been offered companies who will take my money to offset my carbon footprint. Does anyone know of any more practical ways I can offset the flights?

Recycle all that you can, cycle as often as you are able to, cut down on food mileage, read The Red Planet, but don’t don’t don’t pay anyone even one penny to offset your carbon footprint, it’s just another way someone else has dreamed up of taking money of the vulnerable, and gullible.
I fly to the USA twice a year from the UK, and I don’t know of anyone so obsessed with the environment as me, I can’t not fly, I don’t live in the dark ages, but I can make sure that I don’t waste the earth’s resources on top of it all.
