Is Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall and Saloon as good as everyone says?
AirfaresCold Hard BEUFP asked:
My friend and I are planning a trip to Las Vegas in April and have been searching for affordable package deals. I came across Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall and Saloon located center strip and from all the reviews, it seems to be the best kept secret in town. Has anybody been there before? Could you recommend it for two budget travelers?

If not, is there another hotel you could recommend? I’ve researched Mandalay Bay, Flamingo, Luxor, Circus Circus and the MGM Grand and found mixed reviews for all.

It’s an OK hotel for budget travelers but I am not so sure about being the best kept secret. The only plus I will give Bill’s is it’s location on the strip. If you can stay at MGM Grand or Luxor, go for it. Avoid Circus Circus.
Use discount promo codes when booking MGM Grand, Luxor or Monte Carlo. They all have great deals in April. Here are a few codes.

It might be because Bills Gambling Hall is a new name. I believe just a little over a year since Harrahs took over. I don’t know one person who ever stayed there though I know they gutted all the rooms and redid them. Hard to believe not one bad review. The casino itself is so crowded and difficult to even move around plus the fact it is so dark in there. Great location though.
The other hotels you mentioned have been around for awhile and will have mixed reviews. Circus Circus I would avoid at all costs unless you are bringing kids.

Bill’s is a GREAT location. And great price. Alot of the rooms have a view of the Bellagio Fountains. Definitely recommend it.

Well its alot of fun, and very “old school”.
Its not anywhere near the luxury level of the nicer hotels. So just keep that in mind.

Oh I been there, the Casino is a pretty good size, its not that much big compared to the other major Casinos you see in vegas. But If its not that expensive per night. Then its a good start.

The best thing about bill’s is Club Drai’s. Otherwise it is mediocre at best. Luxor is a great place for the money. Enjoy your stay.
