Circus Circus? I’m fying up to Vegas for 2 days just to gamble?
AirfaresRICK asked:
from San Diego and I got a great deal of $109 for 2 people, two nights including round trip air. I won’t be spending much time in the room, so do you think it’s at least safe place to stay? Thanks for any serious answers.

I stayed at Circus Circus last April, and actually liked it! They’ve upgraded the hotel, so the rooms are nicer, cleaner, and the main lobby area has lots of casinos, some great restaurants, and even live performances. I thought it was going to be a lot chintzier and cheezier than sleeping at a McDonald’s, but it’s a pretty decent place. The decor is more traditional European Circus type fare, not gaudy bright rooms with clown beds, whoopie cushions for pillows, etc.
It felt relatively safe for me when I stayed there. You do of course, want to watch for unscrupulous characters in any unfamiliar town.
I will add that you should drink LOTS of water while in Vegas. The environment there is amazingly dry. And if you’re prudish, expect to be offended by thousands of risque and sleazy “playing cards” of local strippers and dancers to cover about every square inch of town. I’m not prudish by any standards, but even I was a little put off by the blatant littering of x-rated promos all over the place. Circus Circus is probably among the more “family friendly” places to go.

If a cheap stay is all you are after CC will do just fine.
Its a bit of a walk to the center of the strip, but I enjoy walking, even from the Stratosphere.
CC is HUGE

not bad. Circus Circus is on the edge of the strip, a bit far from the other attractions, but ok enough. It’s a big big hotel, with couple thousand rooms, you don’t need to worry about safety.

Sure!!! but, beware that scammers are all over Vegas looking for tourists who let their guard down..purse or wallet or personal belongings, just be cautious, and have a great time, Vegas is a blast!! Don’t take anything from the street peddlers!!!

Hey, the first time I went to CC was when I lived in San Deigo too!
CC is pretty nice; you won’t really find anything “dissapointing”. Obviously, it’s not the fanciest place, but the rooms are very nice, and the lobbies/amusement park downstairs are really fun and entertaining, especically for anyone ranging from eight to thirty years old.

Last June we came to Las Vegas (from IA) because my hubby took a job in LV & we had to find a place to live within 2 weeks so he could start his new job. We walked all over the strip & went to so many of the hotels & walked around. I never felt unsafe. I even walked alone at night on the strip with my purse & never had any trouble. CC is more of a family oriented place but my hubby & I found it fun for adults also.
All those that posted about problems with a lot of kids, apparently don’t like to be around kids. If you go to a zoo, you will see lots of kids. If you go the the public pool, park, etc., you will see a lot of kids.
Anyways, we have lived here in LV now for about 15 mos. now & love it here. There is so many places we haven’t visited yet but we are working on it.
Good luck.
